TwoShoes' Best of 2006

Hi, I'm TwoShoes and this is my first post...

Much more difficult than I expected to narrow down my list. Seeing fewer movies causes you to be more selective up front, so we've been seeing fewer duds (i.e. Scoop).

My Top 5 (in no particular order):

• Junebug
• Match Point
• Little Miss Sunshine
• The Edukators
• Syriana

Honorable Mentions (and why):

The New World (lovely soundtrack & cinematography, occasionally a bit too... something. Pensive? Ponderous?), Brokeback Mountain (I loved the soundtrack, acting was great, but I expected (wanted) to cry my eyes out and I didn't), Children of Heaven (charming, would've been #6), Inside Man (annoying soundtrack at times).
