★★★★ The Fog of War
[Gino: 4.0, TwoShoes: 4.0, Twinkletoes: 4.0]
Gino says: "Very good. I'll admit that this seemed like an attempt at self-vindication late in life by R.S. McNamara. However, he was quite effective in his passion, and the filmakers (as with A Brief History of Time) were meticulous and artful in absorbing you with visuals and sound, greatly enhancing already-interesting subject matter. [Including a Philip Glass score]. Altogether very well made, and frighteningly poignant."
Twinkletoes says: "Ditto. Fascinating subject and remarkably well put together film. On a side note, I hope I am as of sound mind and body if I am ever nearing the age of 90 as Mr. McNamara was at the time this film was made."

[not sure if I am logged in: It's me! Tiny!] I may have mentioned that I saw about 80% of this film, and thus I never formally rated, but for the record, I thought it was one of those movies that totally sucks you in even though you'd never have guessed you'd be interested. They made the film so well. Loved the visual of the bombs dropping and then they morph into numbers dropping, great portrayalof McNamara's psyche. Interesting guy. Loved the stuff about his time in the auto industry.
