★★★★ 7 Up! and 7 Plus Seven
[Twinkletoes: 4.0]
Twinkletoes says: "For this review I am combining the two films as they were wisely both included on the same disc. Both films clock in under an hour and you really need to see at least the first two to appreciate what they are trying to do with these films. This first film is from 1964 and the concept is simple. Take a group of 7 year olds from various backgrounds and simply talk to them to try to shed some light on the attitudes and aspirations of, what at that time, would be the future of England. Then revisit them every 7 years to see what has changed. The end result is fascinating. Essentially we are watching the growth of an entire generation and I found it to be riveting stuff. I can not wait to see what became of these children in the subsequent films."
