Twinkletoes says: 'Wow, is this the same guy who gave us "The 6th Sense" and "Unbreakable"? The acting, the dialogue, and the characters M. Night has created here are all mind-numbingly awful and turn what might have been an effective little film into an unwatchable bore. Also, what purpose is served by telling us what is happening right from the start other than sapping the story of all suspense and taking away any reason we would possibly care about this crap?'

Gino says: 'Hi, my name is Gino -- the sole surviving defender of the M. Knight film "The Village." Keep that in mind as you read on. I was going to give this film four stars, because I thought "Hell, for the first movie to be entirely written by, acted, and produced by robots and baboons, this is remarkably good! But then I looked it up on the internet, and found out I was totally wrong, and it was written by humans. The dialog in this movie is so bad that for 15 minutes I thought it was a joke. And while I like Mark Wahlberg and Zoe Dechanel normally, if you have dialog that sounds baboon/robot-written, these are NOT the two actors you want delivering those lines. Terrible.
