★★ 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Gino says: 'This "Fantastic Four" film made me think "did I see the previous film about them? Was there one?" Anyway, I don't think I did see it if there was one, which maybe handicapped my viewing a bit. Nevertheless, this was pretty bad. And not in the normal way a film is bad: more like in a "this seems like it was written by a team of 11-year olds" way. And in fact it was probably a pretty good film for kids of that age. It earns two stars though, for having the cajones to include the Marvel entity "Galactus", even if in disappointingly non-anthropomorphic form. I just can't wait to see what is the LAST superhero film Hollywood makes, and I am just hoping it is Apache Chief vs. She-Hulk IV: Rise of Solomon Grundy.'
