★★★★ Timecrimes
[Gino: 4.0, Twinkletoes: 4.0]Gino says: '(Ok, to be honest, more like 3.5) but I am a sucker for these low-budget science fiction films that are convincing despite (or because of) their budgets. Maybe in the mind-blowing department, not as good as the film "Primer" that Twinkletoes and I liked a lot and reviewed on our site, but this film made up for it with it's humor. The story revolves around a guy who accidentally time travels and the inevitable mess that ensues as he has to clean up the mistakes he made/will make, etc.'
Twinkletoes says: 'I am in agreement with Gino on this one. This film was loads of fun. And the comments/comparisons with Primer are valid. I have read that the remake rights to this thing have been bought up by a prominent US producer, which I find a little troubling. I can’t imagine this thing being nearly as successful with the inevitable big name stars and special effects. The small budgets and the no name casts, it is these very things that make this film and Primer so satisfying.'
