★★★½ The Matsugane Potshot Affair

Twinkletoes says: 'Let it be known that there were issues with this screening. As the film started it was right in the middle of a scene. I have no clue what we missed but much of the 1st 30 minutes or so was spent angrily and frustratingly trying to get my bearings. So basically I was not in the right mindset to enjoy this film. Trying to take that into account I think my overall impression of this film about a man getting blackmailed by the victim of a hit and run accident, was that it was pretty good. Filled with oddball characters and occasional moments of dark humor, this film reminded me a little of a lesser Coen Brothers film.'
