★★★★ The Boss of It All

[Gino: 4.0, Twinkletoes: 4.0, Twoshoes: 4.0]

Gino says: "I was considering a 3.5, but I am feeling generous today. It was fun to see Von Trier do a comedy. As I was saying to Twinkletoes, the director's sadistic streak makes him well suited for comedy, I think, as a certain amount of pain [putting characters in socially-painful situations] is often a key element in comedy. The first half of this film was really great, then it kinda lost some steam for a while. Basically, this is a flim about a lowly (but serious) actor who takes a job to impersonate the head of a company. The real boss has pretended to be just a worker there, blaming all difficult business decisions (and worse) on "the boss of it all". A funny concept, well executed."

Twinkletoes says: "Gino pretty much summed up how I feel about this film. I liked it a lot."
