Ok, let me try to consisely tell you what this movie is about. Will Smith plays a "date doctor", a man who helps guys get the women of their dreams. His job is a secret. He works only by refferal and a lot of people think he's an urban legend. His current job is to help a dorky, klutzy low level accountant (played by Kevin James) capture the heart of a world famous socialite. One day he meets this woman at this bar who happens to head up the gossip column at a local newspaper. She's kind of jaded when it comes to relationships. But he manages to convince her to go out with him (hey, it's his job!) As this relationship is budding she's on the trail of this socialite and her budding relationship with this unknown fat accountant. Eventually she figures out Will Smith is behind this relationship. Oh, did I mention, a man who broke the heart of her best friend after a one night stand happens to be a guy she thinks hired Will Smith to help her seduce her best friend. How will these to work things out!? Still with me? I didn't think so. No light romantic comedy should ever be this convuluted.
