Twinkletoes says: "This film reminded me a lot of The Goonies, which for me, is a great thing. Unfortunately I can't give it a totally glowing review due to the fact that I got the feeling that the makers really couldn't decide if they wanted to make a little kids film or a more mature family adventure. At times it seemed to walk an awkward middle ground that was probably too scary for little kids but not quite mature enough for older kids. Still it managed to be a lot of fun. And aside from the hair of the characters, I thought this was one of the best looking computer animated films I have ever seen."
