★★ You Don't Mess With The Zohan

[Twinkletoes: 2.0]

Twinkletoes says: 'If you are merely looking for a film that is better than Paul Blart, you've come to the right place! There were some laughs but more often than not the film was filled with gags that weren't all that good, some of them repeated a few too many times.'

Geez. I am trying to think of a scenario where you watched Paul Bart: Mall Cop and the Zohan movie in the same week.

I had Ozu's Early Spring and Antonioni's L'avventura from Netflix but I was looking for something a little more mainstream to take camping in case the weather was bad. Well the weather was bad but Paul Blart and the other film (the yet unwatched Step Brothers) didn't arrive in time to make the trip. Zohan is one of the many films I've DVRed now that we have 3 free months of the movie package. That's why I have the 2 movies. Now why I saw them so close together. I actually started Zohan a while back and finished it after about my 7th sitting. Paul Blart just looked so good that I had to see it ASAP. BTW, I think I am probably the only person ever to have Early Spring, L'avventura, Paul Blart and Step Brothers in a row at the top of my netfliz queue.

Dear Anonymous: Unquestionably true about your queue [I am like that about music -- I often think: there is no way anyone just followed Dar Williams with Busta Rhymes]. We will ignore the fact of you bringing movies on a camping trip.

You missed the whole point of my post. Netflix was a day late so I could not bring the movies with me! Just another factor in the weekend from hell.

Sorry, meant to say "you bring" movies camping, in the generalization sense. But that makes you alright in my book.
