Gino says: 'This was that Will Smith 'last man on Earth'/zombie movie from a couple years ago. I am probably short-changing it a little with a "maybe" rating, and if that kind of movie is your thing, I can certainly recommend it.

This was appropriately melancholy for a zombie picture, and rarely falls into Hollywood movie clichés for the sake of pleasing a wide audience. Will Smith is always a plus, and does a nice job here, and pace and attention to detail are admirable. I guess my only complaints are over-reliance on computer-aided effects [I may be an old-timer, but clever camera angles and great makeup always trump a computer-rendered beastie for me] and that it's not my favorite genre, so that part's my fault.'
