★★★½ The Magic Hour

Twinkletoes says: 'This film is about a man who gets in trouble with the mob. To get out of it he tells the mob boss that he knows this famous hit man that the mob boss has been looking for and is given a few days to locate him. So he hires a 2nd rate actor to play the part and tells him he is acting in a film. Hilarity ensues. Much of this film is very funny. And it at a very stylized look to it that I enjoyed. My only problems with it are that it is way too long and that it occasionaly tries to be a little too clever going into this sort of wink wink meta comedy that really doesn't work. It drags what would have been a very good comedy into the area of a mild recommendation.'
