Gino says: 'This was a revisit for me of this 1995 film starring Minnie Driver in a coming-of-age story set in 1950s Ireland. She hits the right notes for her character. Not to be too sexist here, but this film is quite a good chick-flick, I think: it has elements of friendship, family tension, class distinctions, betrayal, boy-talk, body-image issues, along with more serious issues that are perhaps spoilers. So why not a "greenlight" rating from me? I am not a chick.'
