Twinkletoes says: 'In keeping with this week's Las Vegas theme comes this thoroughly unremarkable film about a stubborn poker player navigating a budding relationship with Drew Barrymore and a seething rivalry with his fellow poker playing father, all at the World Series of Poker. Not awful, but bland and completely forgettable. Some random thoughts: 1. The script felt like they made a hardcore poker film and the studio decided it needed something special for all the ladies in the world (and don't forget the girls). So they shoehorned Drew Barrymore into this thing. Lord knows that no film can't be made better with a little bit a Drew. 2. Actually Drew wasn't as unbearable as I usually find her. Perhaps due to the fact that she spent much of the film not being in it. 3. I don't know what it is about him but in everything he does, I find Eric Bana to be the opposite of compelling. Nothing against the guy but I just don't get it. 4. Overall I felt like there was a good movie to be made here for a very small niche audience. Instead they decided to make a mediocre film for a mainstream audience.'
