Twinkletoes says: 'This is the story of a young Japanese man who is accused of the relatively minor crime groping a girl on the subway and despite the promise of a light sentence, refuses to plead guilty. As this young man spends an inordinate amount of time in jail we are given a very unflattering view of the machinations of the Japanese court system. I know it doesn't sound all that exciting but this is a suspenseful film that is quite remarkable for the fact that despite being basically a courtroom drama, at almost 2.5 hours the film manages to hold your interest for its entirety.'
