★★★ The TV Set
[Tiny: 3.0]Tiny says: 'Sigourney Weaver took this movie to the "above average" level for me. This is Jake Kasdan's satiric look at the development of a pilot for a television series. David Duchovny is a bit lame as the series' creator whose vision is corrupted by the network, but his flatness is counteracted by Weaver's great performance as the network higher-up he must oppose. She does a hilarious job with some very, very funny dialogue. I also enjoyed watching actors who have to intentionally "act bad," as that is one of the issues the pilot has. The movie is short (less than 90 minutes), but that is not such a bad thing when it comes to spoof/satire stuff. '
