★★★ Mr. Bean's Holiday

Twinkletoes says: 'I enjoyed his first film a lot more but this wasn't bad. My niece really liked it and got out of her seat a number of times in excitement when you could see Mr. Bean just about to start another mishap. She also thought it was hilarious how stupid he was. So I'll say it's a very good movie for kids. I'll also add that it is an great movie for introducing the concept of subtitles to kids as there were a few scenes in French. So if you're looking to raise a cineaste this strangely enough is a great film to start them off with!'

Gino says: 'Sure, this film is mostly a throw-away comedy of errors, but there is no denying Atkinson's talent as a mime (or a mime who occasionally says a few words in a funny voice). Maybe he is too good at it, because I have a feeling he is a good 'normal' actor who we don't get to see that way. There is one scene at the end that is almost beautiful in a Buster Keaton sort of way. I wouldn't call the film hilarious or anything though.'
