Twinkletoes says: "Much like Brassed Off and The Full Monty, this film, based on a true story, is about a group of underdogs who ban together to try to save something (in this case their town). Most of the proven formula is at work here except for one key ingredient, there is no romantic subplot. Not necessarily a deal breaker but what’s frustrating in this case is that there were a number of scenes that felt like they were leading to that type of subplot but it never materialized. So what we have is a cute film that sort of feels incomplete."
