★★½ Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

The sheer "look at me-ness" of this film almost offends me. This film noirish tale of a lowlife thief/actor who gets involved with murderous Hollywood types just annoyed me. I feel like the people who made this think it's just the cleverest thing ever and I think that's part of the problem. It just came across as overly smug and glib to me. There is some good dialogue and its occasionaly funny. I wouldn't get up to turn it off if it came on and I couldn't find my remote, but it's nothing you need to see.
