★★★½ Ripley's Game

[Twinkletoes: 3.5]

There were a lot of things to really like about this film. Malkovich is great as Ripley. His portrayal of the sophisticated psychopath is fantastic. The plot was tight and involving unlike the languid and boring story from The Talented Mr. Ripley. There is a truly classic scene on a train that I couldn't believe they pulled off as it teeters on the edge of farce, but it really works. All that being said, this film's story and heart are so icy cold that I found it impossible to love this film.
