ZERO stars Rumor Has It

Wow, what has happened to Rob Reiner? The man who directed This is Spinal Tap, The Princess Bride, Stand By Me, and When Harry Met Sally has now, with his last three films given us The Story of Us, Alex and Emma (anyone remember those two?) and this piece of crap. I wasn't expecting a whole lot but I thought the central idea of the film (that The Graduate was based on a real life family) had the possibility for some laughs. This is a mistake I will not make again when the next film that imagines that The Graduate was based on a real family comes out.

So here come the spoilers. Get this: a recently engaged woman thinks that her family was the inspiration for The Graduate (with good reason) and that the Ben Braddock character from that movie is her real father and not the man who married her mother. So what does she do when she finds this man who may be her father? She sleeps with him. Oh did I mention this is a comedy and not a Korean revenge flick? Even if you ignore the ridiculousness of that, nothing in this film works.
