★★½ The Devil Wears Prada
[Gino: 2.0, Twoshoes: 2.0, Twinkletoes: 3.5]
Twinkletoes says: "I was very suprised about how much I enjoyed this film. The story wasn't anything revolutionary and its targets a bit obvious, but there were laughs and all of the actors were very likable. And although Maryl Streep's character was a bit one note, she did that note very very well."
Gino says: "I have to disagree: while everything was in place here and Maryl Streep was, of course, good, I didn't find it very funny or touching or, well... anything really. It was entirely competent & polished, but I didn't care about the main character much, or any of the minor ones really. Again, not a bad movie, but blah in my opinion. Maybe it would have worked for other generations of viewers as a sort of formulaic like a John Hughes film."

Well I didn't "care" about any of the characters either. Nonetheless I still was able to enjoy this film.
Well, by "care" I really mean "care what happens next", which is kinda a prerequesite for my enjoyment.
