★★★ Intolerable Cruelty

[Gino: 3.5, TwoShoes: 3.5, Twinkletoes: 1.5, Tiny: 3.5]

Gino says: "I didn't have very high expectations, but I found Intolerable Cruelty rather entertaining. A little off-beat, but not alienatingly so. Not very predictable, which was nice. George Cloney is good."

Twinkletoes says: "Wow, I hated this thing. I was expecting so much more. I have always thoroughly enjoyed even the Cohn brothers' lesser-thought-of works, but this just left me so cold. The performances were fine, but these characters were just so shrill and over the top that I just didn't care. None of the subtlety of their other work was present here. And some of the filmmaking decisions were just so bizarre such as the extended word play joke that took place in the courtroom in front of the female judge. Where did that come from?"

Tiny says: "Thoroughly enjoyable for the first forty minutes, including a very funny courtroom scene. I didn't love the second half as much, especially the ending. George Clooney is very amusing."
