★★★ Millions
[Twinkletoes: 3.0]
It's about a young boy who just lost his mom who is obsessed with saints and frequently has imaginary conversations with them who finds a bag full of English pounds that in a couple of weeks will be totally worthless with the introduction of the Euro. So he and his brother try to find a way to use the money. He wants to give it to the poor. His brother wants to do more kid-like things with it. From the director of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later, it has a visual flair much like those films, but without the rampant drug use or the brain craving walking undead. I think this was one of Roger Ebert's 10 best of 2005. I enjoyed it, but didn't think it was quite that good.
