★★½ Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
[Twinkletoes: 2.5, Gino: 2.5]
Twinkletoes says: "This is an early Martin Scorcese film about a mom and her young son that was eventually adapted to TV as the sitcom Alice. Which is odd, considering this is not a comedy. It had some very good performances (Ellen Burstyn won an Oscar I think) but was also filled with some pretty shallow supporting characters that kind of took me out of the story at times. Overall a solid film but nothing great."
Gino says: "I agree with Twinkletoes: solid, but nothing great. I was not impressed with Ellen Burstyn's performance. Mid-way through the film's vibe was slowly 'growing on me', but that faded."
